Global WAN: break it, then fix it

A working global network: three regions, transatlantic, Suez and transpacific links, OSPF in every region, BGP between them, LACP bundles, three ISPs and the internet. Test hosts A in London, B in New York and C in Singapore ping each other and the internet all the time. Press the red button and something, somewhere, breaks. You have thirty minutes.

    1. Break itThe red button picks one of 35 hidden faults, often on a random region or office. You won't get the same fault twice until you've seen them all.
    2. Find itClick devices and run real show commands. Every output is worked out from the live state of the network, so the evidence is really there.
    3. Fix itMake one change on the right device. Wrong changes cost time, and so does a reload. When all six checks are green, you get the full story and where to read more.
